Modern And Comfortable

The Boarding House of Cologne International School can host up to 20 students. There are double and single student rooms that are modern and comfortably furnished. The spacious common area with a kitchen is a great place for boarders to relax, play board games or watch movies. The common meals take place there as well as weekly meetings that strengthen the family-like character in this “home away from home”.

Our team of onsite mentors oversee the academic and social-emotional wellbeing of each student. On weekends, diverse leisure activities and excursions to sporting events, cultural sights or neighbouring towns keep students engaged and happy.

The boarding house is located on the top floor of one of the buildings directly on the school campus, so getting to classes and other school social events is easy. And we are 1 minute from the nearest U Bahn (subway) train, giving easy access to all the benefits of the city.

Cologne is one of the most interesting and important cities in Germany: it has a long and rich history, is a major business center with a vibrant cultural scene, and the people are famous for their positive, life affirming attitude. The city was founded by the Romans two thousand years ago, and the legacy of this time is evident all around the city, but the crowning glory is the UNESCO world heritage site, the 13th Century Kölner Dom (Cologne Cathedral).

Cologne has a vibrant cultural scene that attracts international artists and musicians from around the world. In addition to excellent classical music, opera and theater, we have a large and diverse number of contemporary music concerts and festivals. Sport is also well represented in the city, with FC Cologne in the Bundesliga as well as top German teams for ice hockey and basketball.
