Our boarding house offers young people who don’t have family in the surrounding area the possibility to attend COLOGNE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – Internationale Friedensschule Köln. Students join us from all corners of the earth to attend our Secondary School, where a choice of courses in English is offered. The 2-4 year boarding program leads to the IB Diploma. Additionally, we offer flexible options for a shorter stay.

Home away from home
The Boarding House of Cologne International School can host up to 20 students. There are double and single student rooms that are modern and comfortably furnished. The spacious common area with a kitchen is a great place for boarders to relax, play board games or watch movies. The common meals take place there as well as weekly meetings that strengthen the family-like character in this “home away from home”.
Our team of onsite mentors oversee the academic and social-emotional wellbeing of each student. On weekends, diverse leisure activities and excursions to sporting events, cultural sights or neighboring towns keep students engaged and happy. The boarders can also take public transport downtown – about 20 minutes – to go shopping or explore the sites of the city of Cologne.

Admissions
Please contact our Admissions Office for further information about our boarding house and private school. We also invite prospective students to schedule a trial visit for two full days in order to gain a more complete impression of our campus and boarding program.

Boarding School Costs and Requirements
The minimum age for enrollment at our boarding house is 15 years of age. Students are required to have at least a B2 level in English to join the international school. Of course, we support our students with the further development of their language skills.
