Our boarding house offers young people who don’t have family in the surrounding area the possibility to attend COLOGNE INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL – Internationale Friedensschule Köln. Students join us from all corners of the earth to attend either the English-language International Secondary School or the Gymnasium bilingual +, where German is the main language and English is an important secondary language. The 2-4 year boarding program leads to the IB Diploma or the Abitur. Additionally, we offer flexible options for a shorter stay.
Home away from home
A maximum of 16 students live together in 3 or 4-person furnished apartments with outdoor space and a common kitchen and living room. We have group meals and weekly meetings to strengthen the family-like character in this “home away from home”.
Onsite mentors oversee the academic and social-emotional wellbeing of each student, while diverse leisure activities keep students balanced and happy. We fill our weekends and days off with exciting activities and excursions – to sporting events, cultural sights or neighboring towns. Students can also take public transport downtown – about 20 minutes – to go shopping or to the movies.
Please contact our Admissions Office for further information about our boarding house and school. We also invite prospective students to schedule a trial visit for two full days in order to gain a more complete impression of our campus and boarding program.
