What we expect


  • Second state examination
  • Ideally 2 years teaching experience
  • Montessori diploma or previous experience with a willingness to gain the appropriate qualification
  • Practical experience with research-based learning
  • German as mother tongue
  • Very good knowledge of English
  • Computer / media skills
  • Enthusiasm for initiating, controlling and accompanying learning processes and for
    working with children
  • Interest in working in an innovative international team
  • Commitment to a bilingual teaching concept at the primary level
  • Openness towards new ideas and commitment to future-oriented education

Professional Skills Requirements

  • Basic and up-to-date knowledge of subject content and relevant research on the
    areas of the curriculum
  • Willingness to familiarise yourself with the literature, relevant current publications and documents on the conceptual focal points of the school
  • Preparation, implementation and follow-up of lessons across different year groups
  • Adaptation to the individual learning requirements and needs of the pupils
  • Knowledge of teaching the PYP / cross-subject learning will be advantageous, but not essential
  • Regular documentation of observations on individual learning development as a basis for differentiated teaching
  • Punctual, appreciative, constructive and specific feedback for pupils.
  • Regular consultation with colleagues as well as planning within the team
  • Ongoing dialogue and consultation with parents as educational partners

Teaching Performance

  • Fair and inclusive treatment of all pupils
  • Developing a clear and reliable system of rules for a constructive learning and
    working atmosphere together with the pupils
  • Cultivating the interests of the community and practising democratic behaviour in
    class councils
  • Information about performance expectations, objectives and assessment criteria for
    lessons and projects
  • Use of varied and research-based teaching strategies and activities
  • Use of effective questioning, thinking routines and feedback to encourage students to think and reflect critically
  • Purposeful use of cooperative forms of learning
  • Introduction of action strategies and learning methods for independent research,
    documentation and presentation of topic work
  • Self-critical reflection on lessons with regard to effectiveness and goal achievement
  • Effective time and resource management
  • Active and committed participation in conferences, internal training sessions and
    school development projects
  • Utilisation of collegial counselling in the event of difficulties in the professional
  • Participation in external in-service training for your own development
  • Sharing experiences and expertise.
