Authorisation & Accreditations

As a fully accredited IB Continuum World School, Cologne International School meets the highest international educational standards while remaining deeply rooted in its local community. With successful NEASC certification (New England Association of Schools and Colleges), our educational quality is also recognized according to rigorous U.S. standards.

In addition, Cologne International School is a member of the Council of International Schools. This membership highlights our commitment to quality, integrity, and continuous school development. It allows us to collaborate with a global network of international schools and provides our students with valuable perspectives in an increasingly interconnected world of learning and living.

Digitalisation and AI

By 2028, we will fully integrate digital tools across our educational and administrative practices, in line with IB reforms. Our goal is to manage most school operations and curriculum planning digitally, reflecting the changing needs of students and global trends in education. Our strategic approach to AI focuses on its role as a powerful enhancer of teaching and learning. We will explore AI’s potential in personalized and adaptive content delivery, automated grading and feedback, intelligent content creation, and virtual learning assistants. AI will be used to support—not replace—educators, helping to elevate the learning experience while encouraging ethical and thoughtful use. Our aim is to empower both students and teachers through meaningful, responsible AI integration.
