On the bilingual campus of Cologne International School – Internationale Friedensschule Köln – people from more than 40 nations learn and teach according to international curricula and the state curriculum. Jewish Religion Teacher

Your Responsibilities

  • Team-teaching with other religion teachers
  • Working hours between 7:50-16:15 Wednesdays 
  • 8 hours (includes 8 school lessons plus duties and cover lessons)
  • Initially contract until end of academic year 2021/2022
  • Teaching in small classes, and thus the ability to respond individually to each student
  • Demonstrate knowledge of subject content, connections within and across curriculum areas and individual student needs
  • Identify clear teaching objectives and specify how they will be taught and assessed
  • Create a report card for every individual student each term based on schools’ requirements
  • Attend regular meetings with other religion teachers for planning

Your Qualifications

  • Completed Teaching qualification
  • Ideally 2 years of teaching experience
  • PYP experience preferable
  • Proven practice of inquiry-based learning
  • German C2
  • good spoken English
  • Computer / media proficiency 
  • good computer and media skills
  • Enjoying the initiation, control and accompaniment of learning processes and dealing with children and adolescents
  • Interest in working in and being part of an innovative international team 
  • Interest in bilingual teaching concepts
  • Openness for new ideas, readiness for future-oriented education
  • Flexible and adaptable to new culture
